The actor revealed that the film, which is the third in a trilogy, is currently being written and will be bigger and better than its predecessors.
"Dhoom 3 is being scripted right now… I met [co-star] Uday [Chopra] yesterday [to discuss plans]," Bachchan told Raavan.Zapak in a live chat with fans.
"It's a franchise and obviously after the success of Dhoom and Dhoom 2, we want the next one to do better."
The likes of John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai have starred in the Dhoom movies, which have been directed by Sanjay Gadhvi.
It has been suggested that Dhoom 3 will be released in 2012.
