Best known as the only guy in High School Musical with even floppier hair than Zac Efron, actor-singer Corbin Bleu stars in this soporific drama as a small-town teen hoping to join the pro motocross tour.The plot pf Free Style, lifted wholesale from any number of kid-with-a-dream movies, unfolds just the way you think it will...until the climax turns out to be even cheesier than you feared.
And Bleu, in his first shot as a leading man, comes off as bland and painfully earnest — an unfortunate side effect, perhaps, of his High School education.
