Lohan gets $70000 to attend her own birthday bash

The “Mean Girls” star, who turned 23 Thursday, ensured that the day was a profitable one by agreeing to party at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The Grand handed her over $70,000 just to enjoy herself with friends at the pool-side event.

As part of the deal, Lohan was expected to pose for snappers, and she did it in style - swapping her bathing costume five times before throwing on club gear, and dancing to Michael Jackson songs for the rest of the night.

The party doubled as a promotion for her Sevyn Nine self-tanning mist. However, her friends have said that the event was less of a celebration, and more of an urgent attempt to pull in some cash.

"None of her really close friends were there. The only person who was even known was Brittny Gastineau," the New York post quoted an insider as saying. The source revealed that ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson was also missing from the festivities. Lohan didn't drink at the party.
