Ameesha Patel calls Veena Malik a fake

It is reported that actress Ameesha Patel was shocked to see Pakistani actress Veena Malik, at her brother Ashmit Patels's Birthday bash. The actress tried her best to avoid Veena throughout the celebration.

Ameesha seemed to be very miffed about the fact that Ashmit was over-bonding with Veena in the party. She disagrees of Ashmit's choice and love interest. Ameesha placed her dislike for the sensuous beauty Veena openly on the socail networking site twitter by re-tweeting “@ameesha_patel hi Ameesha. Must let you know that @veenasmalik is a fake. Pls RT to acknowledge. From a fan in the UK."


While, Ashmit accepting that he wished he could have done something with Veena Malik on Bigg Boss 4 (when asked about the rumours of his having sex with Veena in the house), Ameesha has very less chance to convince her brother. Looks like the beauty of Veena has already taken control of the man in the Patel family.

Ameesha Patel is very upset with Sonakshi and her mom

Ameesha Patel and the Dutts -- Sanjay and Maanayata -- are upset that a family close to them didn't even respond to their invite

Sanjay and Maanayata Dutt and their baby shower organiser Ameesha Patel are miffed that Punam Sinha and her daughter Sonakshi didn't care to respond to their invite for the event.

Says an invitee, "It was a guest list drawn up by Maana and Ameesha, who was personally calling and messaging people. As the Sinhas have always been very close to the Dutts, they were invited too. The Sinha patriarch, Shatrughan has been part of almost every social event of the Dutts."

But, adds the source, even the ladies who were out of town at the time (like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Natasha Fardeen Khan) or unwell (Kirron Kher was down with conjunctivitis) cited their inability to attend, but the Sinha maa-beti didn't.

"Punam didn't pick up Ameesha's call, neither did she reply to her messages. Ms Patel was very upset and the Dutts felt hurt too but preferred to keep quiet about it. Ameesha even told Maana that she wouldn't have called the Sinha ladies had she known they'd snub her."

The source feels that since Sonakshi has become part of Salman Khan's inner circle of friends, she has developed an attitude."

And Punam is a star mother, now that Dabangg is a big hit. Sonakshi wasn't in town as she was in Norway promoting Dabangg with Salman on September 13. Punam could have at least told Maanayata that Sonakshi and she weren't coming, no?"

Says Punam, "So what if I couldn't call or message back? My sister, a cancer patient for eight years, suddenly had to be admitted to hospital last week. She is my priority. I couldn't even attend Sonakshi's Dabangg events."

Poonam adds, "I have been in the hospital for the last few days and it's impossible to even think of calling or messaging people from there. I have far more important stuff going on in my life.

Please understand my frame of mind and what I am going through. Even now I am sitting with my sister at home after she was discharged a day ago.

Sanju and Maana are very close to us and will always be. I hope they understand my situation..."

Ameesha Patel collapses on film set

Ameesha Patel is reported to be convalescing in hospital after collapsing on the set of her new film.

The 35-year-old star was shooting in Hyderabad when she suffered the fainting spell, and was taken to hospital.

A source revealed to Mid Day: "Ameesha just collapsed while on the set. Crew members instantly took her to a hospital where she was put on an intravenous drip."

The actress recently returned to work after the death of her grandmother.

Patel’s brother, fellow Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel, said: "Yes Ameesha was hospitalised.I think the stress of losing our grandma a few days back and the heat and dust at her shoot in Hyderabad took a toll on her."

Patel has been absent from the industry since a special appearance in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic in 2008.

My man should do girlie things and be my 'girlfriend'

Many of Ameesha Patel's closest buddies are male.

"So the guy in my life should be able to handle that and accept their presence and friendship for what it is, " says the actress who is the cover girl for the latest issue of The Man.

Going a step further she says, "It would be nice if sometimes, my man could be my 'girlfriend', you know, comfortable doing 'girlie' things with me."

Ameesha Patel slaps elderly driver

Ameesha Patel needs some serious anger management. On Saturday evening the actress was seen in a heated exchange of words with her driver in his early 50s outside her Juhu gym. On lookers reveal that the argument took a ghastly turn as Patel assaulted her elderly chaffeur.

A passerby who witnessed the ugly incident relates, "Ameesha's new car was parked outside the gym. When she emerged after her workout, she saw a tiny scratch on the side of her car, and flipped out.

She started hurling abuses at the driver and kept asking him for an explanation. When he couldn't come up with an answer, she slapped him hard across his cheek."

Temper tantrum
This isn't the first time the actress has lost her temper on her driver. He has been driving her since her Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000) days and is used to her temperamental behaviour, but he has never encountered violence before. A source close to the actress adds, "Ameesha has had problems with her driver for a long time.

Recently he almost banged the car and even took her to the wrong address. He has a slight eyesight problem and despite her telling him to wear glasses he refuses to do so.

He's been with her for a long time. Her growing frustration with him has got to her. She had a narrow escape in March when a jeep rammed into her car on the Mumbai Pune Expressway."

When contacted, Ameesha out rightly denied the story. She went on to claim that she hasn't taken her car to the gym in the last three years.

"This is utterly ridiculous. Nothing of this sort has happened. My house is walking distance from the gym and I just take my driver with me to hold my umbrella. You can come to my gym and ask around if anything to this effect happened. It's all lies and I will be very unhappy if this comes out."

Kanav's car trouble
In December last year Ameesha's boyfriend Kanav's yellow Ferrari got stolen from London. Kanav even had his personalised number plates. Despite the loss, Kanav planned to get another brand new Ferrari in the coming months.
