Hot or Not: Rumer Willis in Badgley Mischka

 

There's no question that Rumer Willis makes a sublime spokesmodel for Badgley Mischka. In the brand's advertising campaign, she is the picture of youthful grace against a beachy Malibu backdrop. But when she arrived at the opening of the new Badgley Mischka store in Beverly Hills, we had to take pause.

The flame-haired acress stood regal in a bright purple beaded gown with a velvety black sash, and while she seemed to command the carpet with her pose, there was something a little strange about the look, which she accessorized with a Kabbalah bracelet.

Do floor-length sequined gowns belong at a store opening? Or is there a special exception for spokesmodels?

Rumer Willis’s tight red curls: unfortunate or cute?

Oh, honey. NO. These are photos of Rumer Willis attending some event for Badgley-Mischka last night. She changed her hair significantly. A few months ago, when she became “the face” of Badgley-Mischka, she had very, very dark brown-red hair, long and wavy. Just a few weeks ago, when Rumer Willis was front-row at Badgley-Mischka’s runway show (with Kelly Osbourne), her hair was more red than brown, but still longer and wavy.

The longer, wavy style really suits her face - it softens her unfortunate head-shape and makes her look more feminine. Last night, Rumer Willis showed off this new hair - more red, and tight curls around the face. It is just horrible.


So, now we know - Rumer Willis cannot do tight curls around her face. Honestly, though, I don’t think very many women could pull that hairstyle off. Which reveals the bigger problem: Rumer Willis still doesn’t know exactly what kind of hair, makeup and fashion suits her. Which wouldn’t be newsworthy if she was just some girl, but Rumer Willis has fashioned herself into some kind of model/actress/fashion girl/It Girl. Ugh.

Every time Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week hits New York City, there’s plenty of beautiful people to be seen.
And earlier today (February 15), Kelly Osbourne, Rumer Willis, Kellie Pickler, and Lauren Bosworth were all spotted at the Badgley Mischka Fall 2011 runway show.

The foursome of fabulous females all posed together at The Theatre at Lincoln Center in the arrivals area.
Badgley Mischka’s Fall 2011 collection featured some of the hottest new looks for the upcoming autumn season.

 Rumer Willis Models For Badgley Mischka

Badgley Mischka chose Rumer Willis as the face of their Spring 2011 marketing campaign. They shared some of the shots that she did for the ad campaign, including some behind-the-scenes photos, as well.

On why they chose Rumer Willis:

“Working with Rumer was an absolute pleasure. She represents the next generation of Hollywood and looks as glamorous in a gown as she does in a swim suit”

Rumer Willis had a great time shooting the ad on the beach in Malibu:

It was so amazing to play on the beach in beautiful and timeless gowns, I felt like a princess. Partnering with Mark and James has been such a wonderful experience and I am honored to appear in the new campaign.”

Wow. She looks stunning!

There’s a video after the jump – I had no idea just how much she sounds like Demi and I’ve seen her in movies before. Crazy.
