Gulshan To Star Opposite Salma Hayek In 'The Driver'

Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover, who has been popular for his villain roles in Hindi movies, is going to star opposite Hollywood beauty Salma Hayek in a film titled The Driver. The Mexican hottie will be playing the role of his wife in this movie.

Bill Duke will be directing this movie and it will star some big names of Hollywood like Will Smith, Whoopie Goldberg, Janet Jackson and NBA star Kobe Bryant in guest appearances.

The director was quoted saying that he wanted an Indian actor with an ability to improvise for this role as the protagonist will be starring with a range of Hollywood stars.

Gulshan has just returned after signing the movie. The veteran actor was quoted saying that it will be a great pleasure to work with the Hollywood stars. The 55-year-old actor has earlier acted in some Hollywood movies like Nephilim and Prisoners of the Sun.

Gulshan has made his presence felt in Bollywood with movies like Yes Boss (1997), Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat (1996), Mohra (1994) etc. He debuted in the Hindi film industry by playing minor roles but later became a known 'villain' face in the industry.

Now, the actor is all set to work in his Hollywood project and prove his acting skills in the industry.

'I have been really lucky'

Salma Hayek has revealed that she considers herself "really lucky" to be getting offered acting roles in Hollywood.

The Grown Ups star admitted that finding work at the start of her career was "hard" due to her accent.

The Mexican actress told Sky News: "I have been really, really lucky. It was really hard at the beginning because of the accent to find roles for me.

"Now after 20 years they're beginning to get used to me, so now I am beginning to work - now I don't want to work so much because I have a family."

Hayek, who was nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Frida Kahlo, has also produced shows such as Ugly Betty.

The 43-year-old added: "I do have to work really hard, but I am in a really good place. A lot of people work really hard and don't get to see results.

"Maybe I would never have been a producer and director if things had just gone my way easily."

Hubby helps Salma beat technophobia

Hollywood actress Salma Hayek says her husband Francois-Henri Pinault helped her beat her fear of computers.

“I just learned how to use the computer last week. My husband’s been begging me to learn to do it, it just makes life easier. I’ve been resistant to it but he tricked me,” contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.

Hayek claims her now favourite ‘Apple iPad’ was not an easy task to learn.

“I love Sudoku. He said, ‘Look at this iPad, you can play Sudoku here’. So I started doing the Sudoku and learning the other stuff. I’m getting into it now. This is my favourite thing at the moment,” she added.

Salma Hayek has ditched traditional Christmas food for her husband.

The 'Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant' actress, who married French businessman Francois-Henry Pinault earlier this year, was shocked to discover her spouse feasts on luxury shellfish rather than turkey over the festive season in December but she has agreed to sample his menu.

The 43-year-old star said: "Eating oysters for Christmas is a weird one I didn't know about. I had no idea that would be happening. I'm used to turkey. Its going to take some getting used to." Actress Salma Hayek has blasted the paparazzi for constantly following her while she carries out her daily chores with daughter Valentina.

The Frida star has branded them "freaks" for tailing her and taking photographs. Hayek said she finds it creepy when grown men get excited at taking her picture and admits she hates having to deal with the attention.

Hollywood actress Salma Hayek has revealed that she can’t get enough of breastfeeding.

The 42-year-old star, who welcomed daughter Valentina in September 2007, says that she can’t stop herself from breastfeeding her daughter, reports China Daily. "I’m like an alcoholic. It is like, I don’t care if I cry, I don’t care if I am fat, I am just going to do it for one more week, one more month, and then when I see how much good it is doing her and I can’t stop,” she told Britain’s Style magazine. “It is a very powerful thing, you know," she added. The ‘ Frida’ star admitted that breastfeeding is very painful. "Let me tell you it is tough. You don’t know what pain I am in after two hours, how difficult it was at first,” she added. Moreover, she also dismissed claims that it helps mothers shed their post-pregnancy weight. "And by the way, the myth that says you lose all this weight when you breastfeed? That is so not true! It’s like, please, will everyone stop telling me I look really well," she added.
