Deciding to inject a bit more pouf into its lineup, MTV announced today that it has signed Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi to her own yet-to-be-titled spin-off show.

The 12-episode show will chronicle the life of Snooki and her fellow Jersey Shore housemate J-Wow, as the two search for love and deal with the drama of every day life. David Janollari, MTV Head of Programming, said in a statement: “We're excited to put the spotlight on their lives away from the shore as they pursue their individual passions, careers and relationships."

Snooki isn't the only member of the household getting her own spin-off either. MTV is going ahead with plans to produce another show featuring Pauly-D and his attempt to establish himself as a world-renowned DJ.

I can’t lie. I find Snooki REALLY entertaining. I’m not surprised at all that she and some of her Jersey Shore castmates were able to land themselves reality show spin-offs. All of the stars of the show seem to be doing ok. In 2012, we’ll see two new shows on MTV — one that follows Snooki and J Woww dealing with “love and life,” and a second show that follows Pauly D in his “jet-setting and often hilarious life on the road as one of the country’s most in-demand DJs.”

Will you be tuning in?

My guess is that the shows will be a hit no matter. These kids are still such a phenomenon. Some people might be sick of them, but their audience is large enough that I’m sure they’ll have quite a few viewers no matter what.

Jersey Shore Season 4 Filming in Italy: Delayed!

No fist-pumping today. Looks like Jersey Shore Season 4 is on hold for now.

Snooki, The Situation, JWoww, Pauly D and crew were due to leave for Italy on April 14, a source confirms to E! News that production has been delayed.

The timetable has been pushed back "at least a few weeks." Why, you ask? Because the Italian government came to its sense and denied Snooki a visa?

That would make a better story, but no. Another reason.

 

While some Italian officials and commentators blasted the show and its stereotypes and want nothing to do with Jersey Shore, that doesn't appear to be the holdup.

A show source tells E! that producers are having trouble getting permits to film around Florence, though a rep for the Italian Film Commission denies it.

Rather, the network hasn't even applied, if you believe their side.

"We haven't been contacted by anyone from MTV or a manager for the show. Generally speaking, Italy is a film-friendly place," the spokesman says.

Another possible delay? Several castmates' contract squabbling.


Trying to strike while the iron is hot, the stars are reportedly holding out for more money and more freedom to make paid appearances in their free time.

MTV had no comment on the delay, but a network insider says that for various reasons, producers might scrap the idea of basing the season in Italy.

Instead, they'd shorten the stay abroad and "make it more of a vacation than them actually living there," or abandon the overseas trip altogether.

Which means the duck phone could be back in full effect come Memorial Day.

Snooki, who previously ‘wrestled’ in a WWE Monday Night Raw, will be also be wrestling in Wrestlemania in Atlanta April 3rd. And if you’re worried that Snooki might get hurt, don’t be – she’s fully prepared. She told the Hollywood Reporter;

“It kind of came naturally to me. I did gymnastics for eight years, and I have been cheerleading since middle school … I am going to rehearse this weekend for Mania and will incorporate my gymnastics skills.”

I think this is a pretty smart business move on Snooki’s part seeing as how wrestling is such big business. Who knows – this might turn into a whole new career for her one Jersey Shore ends!

Snooki Talks Drinking And Building An Empire Like Jessica Simpson’s

‘Jersey Shore’ star Snooki (aka Nicole Polizzi) shares with Rolling Stone that she is mortified when she sees herself partying on the reality show and talks about her life plan after the shore.

“If I do something stupid, which is pretty much the whole time, I hate it. I just hate it. Obviously, they’re only going to put the good stuff in, and the good stuff is us drunk, so all I’m seeing is me drunk and falling down.

That’s how I am when I party, but some of the stuff I do is, like, ‘Really, Nicole?’ I look like a freakin’ alcoholic. I’m like, ‘You’re sweating, your make-up is running, you look gross.’ I just look like s**t.”

She also shares that she wants to do more reality shows and then build an empire the way Jessica Simpson has because she can’t imagine going to a desk job after this:

“When ‘Jersey Shore’ ends I’m going to do more spin-offs. If MTV doesn’t want them, another network will be, like, ‘What Does Snooki Do Now?’ or ‘Snooki’s Getting Married!’

“What I’d like is to turn out like Jessica Simpson, with her whole brand. She makes millions … I’m trying to build an empire, because after this I can’t get a normal job. I mean, how do I go and sit behind a desk?”

Do you ever wonder if the Jersey Shore cast members will start going the route of “The Hills” with the “it was all fake and now I want to show the REAL me” type stuff once the show comes to an end? I’m starting to get that vibe….

Making for one of the earlier arrivals, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was spotted at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 13).

The “Jersey Shore” babe arrived at the Staples Center in Los Angeles decked out in a glimmering silver frock as she soaked up the press attention.

Tonight’s festivities will include a bevy of beautiful people and a plethora of amazing musical performances.

Among those taking the stage are Justin Bieber, Lady Antebellum, Muse, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Eminem.

Snooki, JWoww to Film Jersey Shore Spinoff Pilot?

Snooki and JWoww are, like, total BFFs, as last night's Jersey Shore proved. They're so tight, MTV wants them to film a spinoff pilot - this weekend!

The pilot episode will be shot in Long Island over the weekend. There's no special hook to the potential new show, it's just JWoww and Snooki solo.

Sort of like the Kardashians and their 19 spinoffs. It's a bit odd that MTV even wants a pilot. They sort of know what to expect from JWoww, no?

GRUESOME TWOSOME: Is MTV spinning off JWoww and Snooki?

This would be the second proposed spinoff of Jersey Shore, which is reportedly airing a fourth season as well. A Pauly D spinoff has already begun filming.

No word yet what Jenni and Nicole will be doing in the pilot, but we would bet a fair amount that there will be a lot of bronzer, boobs and buff dudes. Sweet.

Her nickname might be what we all know her by, but Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi is tired of it – and she wants her real name back! Snooki – I mean Nicole, told The AP that she was tired of the nickname that’s helped make her famous;

“I miss my real name,”

“I miss people calling me Nicole.”

I can understand that, but she is credited as Nicole Snooki Polizzi on her novel, A Shore Thing, so she must not dislike the nickname too much! I think it’s probably a good idea to move away from the ‘Snooki’ name if she’s trying to create a more mainstream brand for herself. Unfortunately, I don’t know if people will be able to see her as anyone other than ‘Snooki’! What do you think?

I guess it was inevitable. ‘Jersey Shore’ has become MTV’s biggest hit show, and I think The Situation has done about all he can do. So bring on Snooki! The New York Post reports Snooki is preparing to roll out a number of licensed products under the name “Snooki.”

That means fuzzy slippers, blingy jewelry, and giant sunglasses for starters, says Stephen Goodman of SRG Ventures.

Then, over the next year, the firm also sees the potential to expand into numerous other categories, including denim, sportswear, lingerie, handbags, personal care, beauty products, fra grances, swimwear, bedding and home goods.

You didn’t honestly think that someone who celebrated her last birthday wearing a princess tiara and did her own ball drop on New Year’s Eve would stop with a book (‘A Shore Thing’) and a jewelry line, did you? The third season of ‘Jersey Shore’ premieres tonight. Are you ready?

‘Jersey Shore’ personality Snooki says her new jewelry line is “friggin awesome” and her new book, ‘A Shore Thing,’ is “friggin phenomenal.” If you say so, Snook- LOL.

If 2010 was the year The Situation blew up with his book and (brief) stint on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ then it’s looking like 2011 will be Snooki’s year, between her book and jewelry line.

Really? Seriously? STOP the presses! ‘Jersey Shore’ star Snooki admitted to Ellen DeGeneres that she’s a heavy drinker.

“I want to remember my night and sometimes I just don’t,” she says. “It sucks. So you’re like. ‘What did I do? Why did I wake up in a garbage can.”

Snooki said her drinking binges used to happen once a month. I’m guessing it’s more often than that while shooting ‘Jersey Shore’! (In these pictures, she and new cast member Deena Cortese are drinking shots out of J-Woww’s belly button.) Notice she didn’t even mention cutting down on her drinking.

But Snooki also made another thing clear:

“I don’t want to be a role model.”

Yet she did tone things down in her new book, ‘A Shore Thing.’

“It’s a little vulgar,” she admitted of the based-on-real-life tome. “I actually toned it down because I know I have a lot of young fans who are like, 13, so I took a lot of swear words out. I don’t want to get them grounded or anything.”

That was thoughtful. I guess- LOL.

When I think fashionable jewelry, I think of Snooki. In fact, I am SO upset that I didn’t know about the pendant that Snooki crafted before the holidays because that would have been on my “friggin” gift list for SURE.

Here’s some shots of Snooki filming her New Year’s Eve ball drop at the Jersey Shore house in Seaside Heights! This looks like a pretty elaborate set up and lots of people are there! She really does look like she’s in a little hamster ball though!

Do you think that this whole fascination with Jersey Shore is going to continue into 2011? I mean even Pauly D is getting his own reality show now! I like the show, but not sure I need the cast members to be getting their own spin offs!

So who did you watch for the ball drop 2011: Snooki and the ‘Jersey Shore’ gang (after her ball drop wasn’t allowed) or the traditional ball drop in Times Square? If you were like (I suspect) a lot of people, you probably stuck with the traditional ball drop in Times Square ;) . Or maybe you weren’t even awake- LOL.

I’m pretty sure the drop was taped (the thumbnails below are from the taping that took place yesterday afternoon). Snooki, The Situation, and J-Woww posted the picture above of themselves saying they were ready to party right before midnight.

Well, ‘Jersey Shore’ spitfire Snooki hasn’t been completely banned from Times Square on New Year’s Eve. But her planned stunt has been forbidden, according to Pop Eater’s Rob Shuter.

“The Snooki ball drop isn’t going to happen in Times Square,” an insider tells me. “At midnight, the crowd and the media will be watching Mayor Bloomberg, Dick Clark and the official ball drop, not a cast member of the ‘Jersey Shore.’”

I wonder if it was Snooki spilling the beans on her plans that ruined it?

“No way would they allow this to take place. MTV rents a position in the Square that night like every other media outlet. You can’t get access to the Square without an official credential. You have to play by the official rules or you get kicked out, which is exactly what has happened to MTV and Snooki,” an insider tells me.

Who would you rather watch at the very beginning of 2011: the ‘Jersey Shore’ crew or the official ball drop (along with New York City Mayor Bloomberg and Dick Clark)?

I already told you about how the ‘Jersey Shore’ gang is going to be ringing in the New Year in Times Square. Snooki has big plans (no surprise there ).

“I’m gonna be like a friggin’ hamster,” Snooki told USA Today.

The plan is for Snooki (and I’m guessing everyone else from ‘Jersey Shore’) will be lowered onto MTV’s roof deck in Times Square.

“It’s the first time they’ve done it. I’m not sure how it’s going to work, but I think it’ll be fine,” Snooki said. “And if not, someone is going to be in big trouble!”

I’m sure it will be quite a show- LOL.

Look out Times Square – here comes the cast of “Jersey Shore“; New Year’s Eve just got a little more interesting, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

First up, Snooki has agreed to be dropped inside of a ball! She will climb into a ball that will lower as the clock ticks down throughout the evening! Wonder how much they paid her for that?
Also joining in some crazy festivities for the evening is her co-star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. The Situation and the other Jersey Shore stars will be attempting to earn a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records by leading the biggest “fist pumping crowd”.

Really? There’s a Guinness record for biggest group of fist pumpers? Random!

Snooki Working With ‘Po-Po’ to Finish Community Service

Snooki, of New Jersey Shore fame, has just finished the community service obligations assigned her after she was busted for disturbing the peace.

Many of you probably remember seeing her in handcuffs being carted off the beach. For her indiscretion, she was sentenced to 2 days of community service and forced to pay a fine of $533.

She will be working aside the “men in blue.” Snooki will be doing her customer service at the Seaside Heights police station and is slated to perform a plethora of duties, including vacuuming, clerical work filing and cleaning up.

Overall, two days of community service isn’t bad. $533 also shouldn’t be a problem for Snook these days, considering how much she and her cast mates are getting paid these days. However, she should consider cutting back on her drinking, tanning and bad behavior.

She is putting herself at risk and endangering her well being. Even though Snooki is a bit wild, she does seem really sweet. I hope nothing bad happens to her. Hopefully, she will consider this a lesson learned.

Snooki 'treated for alcohol poisoning'

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi was reportedly hospitalised after a night of clubbing and drinking while taping season two of Jersey Shore.

According to Radar Online, the reality TV star was rushed to a Miami hospital and treated for suspected alcohol poisoning.

"She was so drunk that she had to be carried out of the nightclub Dream by the show's producers," a source said.

However, the programme's bosses apparently decided to cut the alleged incident from last Thursday's episode.

The insider added: "Snooki was out of commission for about two days and was left in pain after undergoing the hospital treatment."

MTV and Polizzi have yet to comment about the reported hospital stay.

Polizzi was fined $500 (£315) and ordered to serve community service earlier this month for drunk and disorderly conduct on a beach.
